What Polaroid Land Camera is best?

I'm a little tired of the whole digital camera thing going on and I am fascinated by Polaroid Land camera pictures. I wanted to buy one but I'm not sure which one to choose. I want to buy one that isn't too big or pricey, that can use pull apart film ( or film that is still being made and isn't too expensive i heard that films in the 600's besides 600 are the best) and that is able to take great pictures. I've been reading up on Polaroids, but it's a little confusing. any help?

Well, I have the Polaroid LandCamera 210 and LandCamera 235. The LandCamera 235 is one that I found at a flea market for $10. The rollers were slightly dirty, but it cleaned up quite nicely. I found the LandCamera 210 at a thrift store for $5.

Both of the cameras ended up in good working condition, and I've used the both of them fairly regularly. My suggestion would be to go to flea markets and thrift stores. I've had remarkable luck finding them so far.

As to which one is best, I admit I do perfer my 235 to my 210, but even the 210, even considering its quirks (of which there are many) is a pretty fun camera to use. There's just a few things to keep in mind...

1) Clean the rollers after every pack of film. If you don't, it will start messing with the images alot - the sediments will cause uneven spreading of the chemistry.

2) www.freestylephoto.biz is your friend. They have the batteries for the old LandCameras, and a pretty good price on the type 669 and type 667 films - around $20 for 2 packs. Out here, you can pay that for one pack.

And no, you don't want the Spectra. You want the peel-apart film, and the Spectra is an intigrated film - fun for messing with develeopment and all, but not quite as useful.
